Active in the world of wine since three generations, in 1978 Dogliani brothers founded in Batasiolo, historical cru of Barolo appellation, their winery which, for this reason, was called "Beni di Batasiolo". It is right here that is located the core of a winery which currently has nine farmhouses and a surface of more than one hundred and ten hectares of vineyards, of which about 65 are cultivated with Nebbiolo, the most important and famous grape of the area. In the ancient local dialect, the word "beni" means estate, a name which expresses a traditional way of being in these parts, an inseparable union between the farmer and his vineyard. This winery, managed by Fiorenzo Dogliani in the role of managing director, is by right one of the most important wine producers of Langhe, giving life to the most celebrated wines of the region. Geologically, the substrate of these areas varies between clays, bluish marls, tuff, sands and sulphurous chalks, whose areal distribution, very specific, makes the wines differ in finesse, structure and elegance. Among the rows of vines, vines are trained according to a conventional agronomic conduction, from the density of the plantation to the form of farming, from pruning to fertilization, from pesticide treatments to enological techniques. In the winery, instead, the approach is meticulous and faithful to tradition. At the top of the 2.6 million bottles produced annually there are the 270-300 thousand of Barolo, a real diamond point, a precise and accurate interpretation of a unique grape variety which excites for its rigor and recognizability. But the Beni di Batasiolo is proud to be able to boast in its varied and articulated range other gems such as the award-winning DOCG Barbaresco, which gives a wine of structure and character that confirms the value of this terroir and Dolcetto D'Alba, intense, straightforward and extremely pleasant. Among whites, Roero Arneis DOCG, obtained from the homonymous variety, astonishes for its aromatic finesse and gustatory balance.
