Palazzo Lana Extreme

Extra Brut Riserva Palazzo Lana Extreme is one of the most important Franciacorta wines made by the Berlucchi winery, a production reality of reference throughout Italy for bubbles. Palazzo di Lana Extreme is a Franciacorta Extra Brut Riserva that comes from the pure use of a great international grape variety, Pinot Noir. Grapes of this variety are grown by the Berlucchi winery in different locations, specifically Borgonato, Quindicipio and Brolo. The berries, once harvested, are softly pressed, then alcoholically fermented in steel; it then rests on the lees in barriques for six months, at the end of which it is re-fermented in the bottle, according to the production principles of the Metodo Classico. The wine remains to mature on the lees for a full 84 months, and is then disgorged and bottled, after the addition of the dosage liqueur. Franciacorta Extra Brut Riserva Palazzo Lana Extreme reveals itself to the eye with a hue reminiscent of the color of gold, crossed by fine and persistent bubbles. The olfactory profile is broad and layered, on notes in which fruit is declined with different nuances, alternating with more spicy and mineral sensations. In the mouth it is of excellent structure, elegant and powerful, with a swaddling sip on the palate, very fresh and mineral, marked by a slightly smoky taste.
