Quintodecimo is famous for being the winery of professor Luigi Moio, a real reference figure for Italian enology, among the most important university professors of enology. Located in Irpinia, near Mirabella Eclano, it is in fact the beloved place of Luigi's experiments who, inheriting it from his father as a viticulturist, transformed it, together with his wife Laura, into a real and proper life project, result of years of research, study and deepening in the world of viticulture and enology. One of the most important contributions of this important winery was to have developed the concept of "auteur wine", intense as the great expression of a man in which the attributes of technician and those of artist are combined. Quintodecimo winery is a productive reality of very high level located in the green heart of Irpinia. The conduction in the vineyard is certified organic, with cru cultivated with Aglianico, Fiano, Falanghina and Greco di Tufo. Every cru is cared and interpreted at its best, in order to give life to wines which are the full expression of Campania, but at the same time have a production style similar to prestigious labels from Bourgogne, where Luigi studied for many years. Every label is born as a real and proper work of art from the perfect iteration between man, time, nature and territory, according to a union developed step by step, thanks to decades of experience. The range of Quintodecimo wines includes both full bodied, fruity and impeccable whites as well as bold and complex red wines. Luigi Moio has truly succeeded in creating a small enological jewel of Campania, an indisputable protagonist of the modern Italian enological scene. The sensations, emotions and flavors that these enological expressions from Irpinia give us certainly represent the best lesson professor Moio can leave us.
