Rosso rubino vivace con sfumature granate, al naso esprime profumi freschi, esuberanti, accattivanti di piccoli frutti di bosco e di ciliegia. In bocca è molto armonico, equilibrato, privo di spigoli, ricco di gusto e fine al palato. Elegante e disteso, chiude con un finale di grande pulizia e persistenza. Abbinamenti, a tutto pasto, il Pinot Nero Meczan di Hofstätter ben si abbina a piatti a base di pollame nobile, arrosti, primi con ragù di carne. Da provare con un grande piatto povero della tradizione gastronomica tirolese: la zuppa d'orzo.
