Cavicchioli is a historical brand of Lambrusco, known in Italy and all over the world. Its history dates back to 1928, when Umberto Cavicchioli, today considered a pioneer of Emilian wine and a glorious father of Lambrusco di Sorbara, began to bottle wine from Lambrusco grapes fermented in wooden barrels, following the tradition of his fathers. After the war his sons inherited the management of the winery and, in the 1970s, they started exporting the wine all over the world with great success. Today this production reality has been able to renew itself, interweaving environmental sustainability, cutting-edge technologies and ties to tradition, becoming a symbol of liveliness, freedom and "Italian life style" all over the world. The historical headquarter of Cavicchioli wineries is located in San Prospero, where all bottlings are still made, whereas the modern production site is located in Bomporto, in the hamlet of Sorbara, surrounded by vineyards. The 90 hectares of vineyards owned by the winery are all in the territory of Sorbara and its surroundings, in an area included between Secchia and Panaro rivers. In the winery, by making use of innovative and technological production methods, the goal is to continue tradition in modernity, ensuring crisp, lively and impeccable expressions. The production of Cavicchioli wines is very varied and excels for quality and refinement. The historical line of Tre Medaglie, characterized by an excellent quality/price ratio, is flanked by the labels of Vigna del Cristo and those of the modern Millenovecentoventotto range, created to celebrate the long history of the winery. For more than 80 years the mission is to enhance the potentialities of Lambrusco di Sorbara, making the whole world fall in love with this Emilian excellence.
